‘A line of poetry written in light’
Using new laser technology, Van Nieuwenborg writes poetry on the inside of the lamp glass. Lines of poetry are chosen for the eloquent manner in which they draw attention to the light itself. The poems themselves (from twenty writers from ten European countries) are represented in the book of poems which accompanies the lamp, along with a short personal world-view of some of the writers and a biography of each of them.
‘Van Nieuwenborg combines the original coldness of the fluorescent light with the warmth of a line of poetry.’
